As part of the preparations for the first Global Youth Awards, we are inviting applications for the design of the official award 'laurel'. Prizes for the competition include the following: • | Designation of Designer of the Global Youth Award!! (Just like being the designer of the Oscar statuette!) | • | $2500.00 Cash prize | • | Certificate of Award | • | Hamper of corporate products (from various sponsors) | • | All entrants into the competition will be entered in a raffle draw for a chance to attend the Awards Ceremony. |
The guidelines for the design are listed below: This page will be updated frequently if or when changes to the rules are made. You can also sign up for the free newsletter to be updated on the competition and the Awards in general. | 1. | Design entries must be one or more of the following: trophy, plaque, sculpture or art form. | | 2. | Entries must represent a distinct philosophy of youth, unity and global society. | | 3. | Design blueprint must be submitted via email in any of the following formats: JPEG, PDF or TIFF. For other formats, please email us. | | 4. | All entries must be submitted by the 1 September 2006. All entries will be placed on the website for a vote and the winning design will be professionally crafted for the Awards.

An token entry fee of $5.00 is required for entry. This token is to ensure that you are really the artist who worked on the submission. Due to the large amount of data storage required for this operation…it helps us cover the costs of running the competition. Payments are processed online through PayPal.
